On this day you will meet our company representative who will be your safari guide for a short briefing and start your 8 hours journey southwards from Kampala city. Along the way we shall have our first stopover at the equator in kayabwe for the photographic moment and then proceed to the next town for lunch in Mbarara town, after lunch we shall continue with our road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. This road trip will give your marvelous sights of plantations, landscapes, and highway vegetable markets. The road trip will stop at the lodge where we shall have dinner and overnight.
After having your breakfast in the morning, you will head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing and to meet your guide and fellow trekkers you will then set off on your thrilling trek into the dense forest. The trek can vary in length depending on the location of the gorilla family. Navigate through lush vegetation and rugged terrain, guided by experienced rangers, upon finding the gorilla family, you’ll spend up to one hour observing these magnificent creatures. Watch them interact, feed, and play while adhering to the guidelines for respectful viewing. After the gorilla trekking experience, hike back to the park headquarters and transfer to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Immediately after early morning breakfast, your safari guide will take you to the Batwa pygmy’s community. The Batwa are the original inhabitants of the Bwindi forest. Have a chance to meet these people whose livelihood depends on fruit gathering and hunting, you will have a glimpse of their cultural lifestyle and from there embark on the long drive with lunch en-route in Mbarara town and proceed to Kampala. This marks the end of your 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking experience safari.
