Your driver/guide will meet you at the airport and start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, with a 5-hour drive that includes a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary—one of Uganda’s top attractions. This is the only place, besides the Uganda Wildlife Education Center, where you can see rhinos, which were brought back from extinction after being wiped out in the 1980s due to hunting and civil strife. Initially, there were only five rhinos, but now there are over 25, and a local ranger will guide you as you watch them graze and share their stories. After your rhino viewing, you’ll drive to Masindi town for lunch before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you can hike to the top of the falls for stunning views of this iconic landmark. After taking pictures and enjoying the scenery, you’ll head back to your lodge for dinner and a nights’ rest.
Start your day early with breakfast before heading out for a game drive along the Nyamsiki track, where you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, wildebeests, reedbucks, warthogs, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, and numerous bird species—making it the area with the highest concentration of animals in the park. After about three hours of thrilling wildlife viewing, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll drive to Paraa port to board a boat for a scenic trip along the Victoria Nile, one of the park’s most popular activities. As you glide along the river, keep an eye out for Nile crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, elephants, and buffaloes along the banks. The boat ride also offers breathtaking views of Murchison Falls and the lesser Uhuru Falls as you travel upstream. The excursion wraps up in the evening, after which you’ll return to your lodge for refreshments and some relaxation.

Enjoy the scenic landscapes and charming villages along the way, and consider stopping for lunch in a town like Masindi or Fort Portal. Upon arriving in Kibale, check into your accommodation and take some time to rest and recharge after the long journey. It’s a great opportunity to relax and prepare for your exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure the following day.
In the morning, you’ll travel to the Kibale Forest headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking, as Kibale is home to around 1,500 chimpanzees across five habituated groups, making it one of the best places in Africa to view wild chimps. After the briefing, you’ll enter the forest to search for these intelligent primates, spending about two hours observing their behavior, including their ability to build nests and use tools. In the afternoon, your driver will take you to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a biodiversity hotspot known for its diverse flora and fauna. Home to 12 primate species, including the red-tailed monkey and black-and-white colobus, Bigodi also boasts over 200 bird species, such as the Great Blue Turaco. Enjoy a guided walk through the wetland, where you can appreciate the vibrant ecosystems and learn about conservation efforts in the area. After that experience, you will return to your lodge for refreshments, dinner and a good nights’ sleep.
After breakfast, you’ll set off at dawn for the Kasese area, home to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you travel, you’ll pass by the stunning Rwenzori mountain ranges, known as the “Mountains of the Moon,” and enjoy distant views of their glaciers and snow-covered peaks. Upon arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you’ll have lunch at your lodge before heading out in the late afternoon to explore the fascinating Katwe salt mines and the nearby explosion craters. This excursion will give you a unique insight into the region’s geology and local culture. After that experience you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and relaxation
After breakfast, you’ll head out for an exhilarating game drive across the Kasenyi plains, where you can spot a diverse array of wildlife, including elephants, elands, topis, Uganda kobs, lions, hyenas, leopards, mongooses, and numerous bird species. This area is renowned for its excellent opportunities to see many of Africa’s iconic animals during your 10-day explore wildlife safari. Your three-hour game drive will conclude in the early afternoon, and you’ll return to your lodge for lunch before preparing for your afternoon boat ride at Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward to Lake George.
In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a boat ride that traverses the Kazinga Channel, teeming with crocodiles, hippos, and other aquatic life. This area is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions, which are often spotted lounging on fig trees after their morning hunts. Researchers believe these lions climb to avoid crawling insects and to get a better vantage point for spotting prey. After spending about an hour observing these fascinating creatures, you’ll continue your journey to Bwindi with a stopover for lunch in any desired town. Expect to arrive in Bwindi early enough to relax and prepare for the exciting gorilla trek the following day.

This stunning area boasts diverse wildlife, including the largest population of antelope in the country, as well as zebras, oribi, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, elands, and topis. After a thrilling three-hour game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch before setting out on a boat excursion along Lake Mburo. Here, you’ll likely encounter crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, waterbucks, and various antelope species along the eastern shores. Birdwatchers will delight in spotting around 300 species, including fish eagles, kingfishers, and hummerkops. As the day winds down, enjoy a breathtaking sunset and capture lovely photos to share with friends back home before returning to the lodge around 5 PM for dinner and some well-deserved relaxation.
After breakfast, you’ll have the option to embark on a thrilling morning activity in Lake Mburo National Park, choosing between a nature walk, horseback riding, or quad biking. For an adrenaline rush, quad biking will take you along scenic trails, offering great views and chances to see wildlife. After your morning adventure, you’ll return to your lodge to freshen up before departing for Entebbe.
