  • Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda.
  • Day 2: Drive to the Murchison falls National Park.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda

As soon as you touch down at Entebbe International Airport, our Company driver will be ready to welcome you and carry your luggage to the vehicle, as you start your 10 days Uganda safari. Depending on the time of arrival, you will have a short tour of the beautiful Town of Entebbe, visiting Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC), the Reptile Village or Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Later transfer to Kampala for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Drive time from Entebbe to Kampala: 45 minutes to one hour.

Day 2: Drive to the Murchison falls National Park

Start the second day of your 10 days Uganda Safari with an early breakfast by 5:30am and at 6:00am embark on your journey to Murchison falls National Park. The journey lasts 7-8 hours including stopovers, and your first stop will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a 2 hours track for the White Rhinos in their natural habitat. Have Lunch at Kabalega Dinner before continue with your drive to Murchison falls National Park, where you will undertake a mini game drive while connecting to your place of stay.

Day 3: Early morning game drive, Launch cruise and the thrilling Hike to the top of the falls

On day 3 of your 10 days Uganda Safari, you will have the whole day to explore the beauty of this wilderness Park. Start with breakfast and set-off for the game drive through some of the Park’s game tracks where animals such as giraffes, elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, Oribis, Defassa waterbucks, common elands and many others will be spotting during the 3-4 hours’ drive. To effectively capture and get rich information on the animals, make sure to have a Park ranger in the vehicle to identify the animals and offer detailed information about them-habitats, behavior and breeding.

Have Lunch and embark on a boat cruise on the stunning Victoria Nile, with rich views of Nile crocodiles, Hippos relaxing in the waters alongside elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes and bushbucks. The boat cruise in this Park is also known for rewarding visitors with the views of a plethora of bird species that include the Egyptian goose, shoebill stork, saddle-billed storks, Pied and giant kingfishers and African fish eagles among others. Later start the 45-60 minutes hike to the top of the falls and retire to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After a sumptuous breakfast, pack your luggage for check-out and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Drive through the beautiful countryside with verdant views of farmlands and rural homesteads as well as the snow-capped peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains. Settle for a hot meal in the Town of Hoima or Fort Portal and arrive the Park in the late afternoon or evening for dinner and overnight.

  • Budget: Kibale Forest Camp or Chimps Nest.

Drive time: 6-7 hours.

Day 5: Undertake the exhilarating Chimpanzee trek and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The 5th day of the 10 days Uganda Safari is when you will trek the chimpanzees within the Primate Capital of the World. Let your day begin with a heavy breakfast and converging a Kanyanchu Visitor Center by 7:00am for briefing on the activity. Start the chimp trek at 8am in the company of an armed ranger, porters as well as fellow trekkers, and lasts 2-4 hours including the one hour you will be in the presence of the chimpanzees. The chance of seeing the chimpanzees here is at 99% because there are over 1500 chimpanzees here. Utilize your one hour in the presence well to take photos of them mating, swinging from one tree branch to another, foraging, socializing and grooming.

Return to the trailhead and to the Lodge to freshen-up and have a hot meal before leaving for Queen Elizabeth National Park and arriving in the evening. Drive slowly through the Park while encountering the Park’s common wildlife species.

Day 6: All day Queen Elizabeth National Park exploration

In the morning, you will have breakfast before starting the first activity within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have a game drive through the Kazinga Plains with your driver leading to the wildlife hot spots including lion hideouts, Topis, herds of elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes and warthogs. Settle for a hot meal at the Lodge and transfer to the Mweya Peninsula, where the boat cruise will start.

The boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel is the highlight of your visit to this Park because not only will you encounter schools of Hippos and basks of Nile crocodiles but it is considered a fantastic birding expedition. Look-out for the colorful birds within the wetlands, shores of the Kazinga Channel and in the sky. After 2-3 hours of the boat cruise, go back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha sector

Have a leisurely breakfast and pack your bags for a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, through the Ishasha sector, southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive through Ishasha is another fantastic way of encountering the outstanding wildlife species of the Park such as Topis, Sitatunga, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, buffaloes and Oribis, in addition to the main celebrant-Tree climbing lions. Leave the Park with en-route Lunch at Savannah Resort Kihihi and arrive in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

  • Budget: CTPH Gorilla Conservation Camp.

Day 8: Trek the mountain gorillas and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After a sumptuous breakfast, leave your Lodge for the Park Headquarters where you will be received by the Park ranger, for registration and orientation. This one hour briefing is one the guidelines of trekking mountain gorillas in addition to the conservation history of the Park. In the company of a lead ranger/guide, porter and other trekkers embark on this sought-after trek to search for the allocated gorilla family. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend an entire hour watching them while applying the 7-meter rule away from them as well as other guidelines.

You will descend to the trailhead to be awarded a trekking certificate and finally to the Park hot a cold shower, hot meal and transfer to the incredible Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in the late afternoon for a boat cruise to some of the Islands.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and have a game drive

Start the 9th day with breakfast and guided nature walk through one of the local communities or canoe ride to explore the different bird species as well as the unique cultures of the people. Settle for Lunch and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have a game drive on arrival.

Drive time: 4-5 hours.

Day 10: Guided bush walk and return to Kampala

On the last day of your 10 days Uganda Safari, you will have breakfast and undertake a guided bush walk that will expose you to the different wildlife hideouts, unique vegetation types and bird species encountered. Have Lunch and embark on a return journey to Kampala, with a stop at Uganda Equator for photography and purchase of souvenirs.
